About Me

My name is Mr. Long and I am a physics teacher in Girvan Academy, South Ayrshire, Scotland.

Blogs, Websites, YouTUBE and Twitter are part of the daily life of every pupil that I teach.  With limited computer access within school it is hard to really engage the pupils at this level during the school day.  Most of all pupils spend more time on the internet at home than in school anyway.  For this reason I created this site to try and steal some of that time.

I want this website to become part of their learning.  Learning intentions, movie clips, website links, past papers and movies that we make, everything will be on here.

In ‘Catchup’ the posts are arranged in date order.

If any pupil misses a lesson then I want them to be able to go there and get a full picture of what they have missed.  If only one pupil finds this website useful then I have done my job.
